Wayman is an impressionist sculptor who uses contemporary, historical, & religious themes and imagery to pay tribute to heroes and highlight stories of marginalization and triumph using the Baltimore Area as a tapestry. Wayman works in Diversity & Inclusion and incorporates equity and inclusion in his art. He is the 2021 recipient of the Mary Nyburg Award, the summer 2023 Openshaw Fellowship and the 23/24 EMBARC Fellowship. Wayman’s work has been featured in The Catholic Review, America Magazine, The Black Catholic Messenger thefilm Outlasting Clay and the Capital Gazette.
